The entire island is easily accessed with a network of boardwalks which link the harbour to the cottages, and lead to a waterside sauna, an observation tower and bridges to surrounding Crown islands for further exploration. Canoe, kayaks, and paddle boards are available for use by the island residents and the swimming is superb. Georgian Bay offers some of the finest fresh water sailing, cruising and fishing in the world, the water crystal clear, the scenery magnificent, ‘The Bay Experience’ magical. A caretaker is available as needed for provisioning, boating forays and classic ‘Georgian Bay shore lunches’ on the outer islands. Getting there: By car 2.5 hours from YYZ/GTA via 400 series highway to Byng Inlet Marina ..board the island boat and enjoy a 30 minute breathtakingly scenic trip to Burritts Island. ~40 minutes by float plane from Buttonville or the Toronto Island Airport directly to the dock
